Had a chance to do my first substitution assignment today and I mistakenly thought this would be a breeze considering a) it was at my home school and b) it was fourth grade and I already had worked with most of students at one time or another. I am gonna say that when the teacher’s welcome note and instructions begin with the words “I will be honest with you”, asks for a detailed behavior report, warn you that the “energetic” students will keep you “busy” and end with “don’t let them get away with anything” - it can’t be good. Basically, my face experienced a full range of scowls and anger lines by the end of the day - even more than The Mister usually evokes. Adding to the monumental fail was that I had the audacity to wear heels and for that, my whole body is currently suffering. The Lord has tested me today … TRUST.
